St Gabriel's School is a co-educational primary school catering for children with hearing impairment and other special needs such as intellectual disability in the mild to moderate range and autism.

The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) is Australia's largest non-government provider of therapy, education and diagnostic services for people with hearing or vision loss.

By providing quality and innovative education and other services, RIDBC will achieve the best outcomes for current and future generations with hearing or vision loss throughout Australia.

The range of specialist services available at RIDBC is unique in Australia and is benefiting thousands of children, families, adults and professionals each year. These services are delivered by a broad range of highly qualified professionals.Services are provided from 17 permanent sites and serve children, families and adults throughout Australia. Using face to face services combined with modern technology, RIDBC connects people across Australia to the expert therapy and services they need.

RIDBC provides:

1. Early intervention programs for children from birth to five years
2. Five preschool programs for children aged three to five years based on a reverse integration model, and support in mainstream preschools
3. Three schools as well as a school support service for children with hearing or vision loss who attend mainstream schools
4. A regional or remote service where families and children are receiving services via videoconference
5 .Individual therapy sessions
6. Assessment and planning services, including orthoptics and audiology
7. Outreach programs in Indigenous communities
8. A world class research program and postgraduate courses for professionals working with children with vision or hearing loss
9. A professional development program for professionals working with children with vision or hearing loss
